Deontay s Wilder coach is confident his fighter can stop Tyson Fury in their rematch this weekend. Deontay Wilder s long-term trainer, Jay Deas, predicts the WBC heavyweight champion will get a quick and emphatic win against Tyson Fury in their rematch this weekend.

In their first fight back in December 2018, Wilder 42 0 1, 41 KOs and Fury 29 0 1, 20 KOs fought to a split decision draw 115 111, 112 114, 113 113 . Since that fight, both men have fought twice with Wilder defending his heavyweight title by knocking out Dominic Breazeale and Luis Ortiz, whilst Fury won a decision against Otto Wallin and stopped Tom Schwarz.

Talking recently to Sky Sports, Wilder s coach Deas says The Bronze Bomber knows what to expect against Fury in the rematch.

Deontay knows what to expect this time around, Deas said. I think he does the job quick and emphatic.

A lot is being made of the improvements that can be made by Tyson Fury, but Deontay has also shown me a lot more since that night and I don t believe he showed everything he s capable of.

Wilder knocked Fury down in the twelfth round of the first fight, and despite landing flat out on his back, to everyone s surprise Fury managed to beat the count and fight it out to a decision. Deas thinks Wilder will find a similar opportunity to take Fury out in this fight, and like with all his other opponents, he will capitalise on it.

Deontay sets his opponents up and he works himself into a position where he can get his power shots off. His two fights last year were prime examples of him taking a look at his opponent and biding his time before unleashing that right hand.

There will be an opportunity for Deontay to take him out and as you ve seen with all his opponents in the past, he ll take it.

Wilder vs. Fury 2 takes place this Saturday night, February 22nd, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Stay tuned to Bloody Elbow for full coverage of the card.
