Get the Full StoryA viral video showing an altercation between a Pirates fan and a stadium worker has been making the rounds on TikTok after causing some serious debate. Sometimes having constant access to a camera is a blessing. When it comes to aggressive confrontations it allows people to record proof in case there s ever any reason for doubt. A clip shared to social media by FoxNews shows a worker physically assaulting the fan. The fan then spits on him before the worker removes his own belt and proceeds to hit the fan again. The stadium employee was suspended according to FoxNews. The clip has people divided with some thinking that the guard went too far, but the majority believe he was justified. foxnews A Pittsburgh Pirates stadium usher has been suspended after being seen using his belt to whip a fan during a fistfight at PNC Park on Sunday. The usher and fan were standing face-to-face in a heated argument before the staffer punches the fan in the face multiple times. Other fans are seen coming to break up the fight, but the pause is only temporary. Just seconds later, the fan is seen spitting on the usher, who then takes off his belt and whips the fan with it multiple times. original sound Fox News Fox News Well that certainly looked pretty painful for the fan, but the clip posted to TikTok doesn t give the full story. It makes it look as though the employee was the aggressor in the situation. However, more footage and reports from other sites indicate that the man being beaten was in the wrong. Even viewers on TikTok were skeptical with one person asking, Why not post the beginning of the video where the fan was harassing the usher? Another simply wrote, I m on the employees side. Here s the full context According to CBS News, the altercation began after the fan and his friend began harassing a woman who worked at the concession stand. It was at that point that the game day employee stepped in to stop the men s harassment. That s around when the video starts. We see the worker and fan having a heated verbal exchange before things escalate into violence. Knowing what caused the fight to break out in the first place certainly flips the narrative compared to what the video seems to portray doesn t it? Harassment in any form is never okay and it seems like, in the eyes of many, this fan got what was coming to him. If reports are to be believed then he was in the wrong at first, and then he made it worse by spitting on the worker, how stupid can one man possibly be? Pittsburgh Police did provide an update on the situation earlier in the week. They stated that neither of the men involved have chosen to file criminal charges at this time. This means police will not be getting involved. Given the fan s alleged behavior prior to the video it seems he got off lightly with some bruises and broken skin. As for whether or not the employee s suspension will be walked back is unclear. But then again, rowdy and violent fans are an unfortunate common occurrence at sporting events. Would this guy even want his job back if that were an option?
