He just seemed like a broken man : Serious concern for Prince Harry as royal experts suggest his mental states is crumbling
Get the Full StoryThe mental state of Prince Harry has been under intense scrutiny these past couple of weeks. The duke s comments during a recent BBC interview have been heavily criticized by almost everyone but are they indicative of his poor mental health? Some experts think so. Speaking on the Daily Mail s Palace Confidential, experts Richard Eden, Charlotte Griffiths, Rebecca English, and host, Jo Elvin analysed Harry s statements. Elvin noted that Harry seemed beyond furious and the rest of the panel agreed with Eden observing that the prince didn t look well. Concerning comments The interview came hot off the heels of Harry s court case loss which Eden suggests was a mistake. Often, if you are angry about something, people say you should sleep on it. But, this seemed to be something, and I think the BBC would confirm that it was done in a hurry. It was very much his decision, and I think a very rash one, and he said a series of very unpleasant, provocative and dark, disturbing things. The prince maybe should have taken a little more time to sit and plan out his next move rather than lashing out and having a hissy fit as Griffith s calls it. We ve seen the outcry over Harry suggesting his father could be nearing the end of his life. It seems these comments may reflect Harry s own troubled mind. Especially after such a bitter loss in court. Eden went on to point out that the prince portrayed the decision as an establishment stitch-up, which certainly sounds rather paranoid and conspiratorial. Harry also suggested that he had seen evidence proving dark forces were out to get him and that these forces wanted the same fate to befall him and his family as did his mother Diana. Eden added that the suggestion, certainly got me questioning his state of mind, frankly. Griffiths agreed with Eden, stating she was really worried about the prince as he just seemed like a broken man. She went on to suggest that that lack of contact between Harry and his father might have been the motivation behind it. Harry wants reconciliation During the interview Harry claimed he was open to reconciliation with the rest of the royals as he did not know how long his father, King Charles, had left. The shocking reference to Charles mortality did not go over well with most people criticizing the prince for causing concern and uncertainty about the king s health. The royal experts suggest that the prince has reached a point of desperation and frustration with his family and his own position. Perhaps that was what prompted him to sit down with the BBC for the interview. Either way it has not panned out for him as it looks like it could be too late for reconciliation. Harry s brother, Prince William seems to have all but washed his hands of him and Charles has not addressed his son s comments either.
